The City of Lakeland offers great shopping for its residents and visitors, including shopping malls, local boutique stores, antique shops, and party equipment rental companies.
Lakeside Village:
Lakeside Village is a favorite among Lakeland and other Polk County residents. The complex is an open-air regional shopping mall, with not only stores, but office space, fine dining, and even three hotels on site. Lakeside Village is located in South Lakeland off of the Polk Parkway. Lakeside Village is also home to a Cobb Movie Theater. Some stores located in Lakeside Village include Bed Bath & Beyond, Bath & Body Works, Francesca’s, Victoria’s Secret, and Books-A-Million. Some restaurants located in Lakeside Village are Burger 21, Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Moe’s Southwest Café, and The Brass Tap. Lakeside Village store hours vary but are usually open from 9am-10pm.
Lakeland Square Mall:
Located in Northern Lakeland off of US 98, about a half a mile north of the I-4 exit is the Lakeland Square Mall. Opened in 1988, the Lakeland Square mall serves as the only enclosed mall off of I-4 in between Orlando and Tampa. The Lakeland Square Mall was the prominent high-end shopping center in the Lakeland area until 2005 when the Lakeside Village shopping center was opened. Since then, two of its main attracting anchor stores, Belk and Macy’s have moved or closed their stores in this location. The mall is home to stores such as Champ’s Sports, American Eagle Outfitters, Dillard’s, and Victoria’s Secret. The Lakeland Square mall also houses a large food court that contains Chick Fil A, Planet Grilled Cheese, and Haagen Daz Ice Cream. The hours of the Lakeland Square mall are 10am-9pm every day except for Sunday, which is 12pm to 6pm.
Florida Avenue Boutiques:
Located along S. Florida Avenue in Lakeland there are several fashion boutiques, including Hattie’s Branches, 1026 SoFlo Fine Art Gallery and Marketplace, and Boutique Greek. Hattie’s Branches is a trendy boutique for women of all ages and have a wide selection of items including dresses, tops, bottoms, seamless items, accessories, jewelry, and shoes. 1026 SoFlo Fine Art Gallery and Marketplace is a brand new studio that features working artist studios, retail art and jewelry, and men’s custom clothier. Greek Boutique is a store that sells custom clothing and accessories for Greek organizations that are a part of the local Lakeland colleges.
